What is Reishi tincture?

Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum)  is the most sought after and sold mushroom in the world. We grow our reishi at our indoor farm in the Finnish countryside, in Karjalohja, Finland.

We like to think of reishi tincture as part of our evening routine. A pipette’s full straight under the tongue or added to a hot chocolate, bedtime tea or smoothie, an hour before going to bed.

To make our potent, organic reishi tincture, we only the fruiting bodies of the mushrooms, no mycelium. It is extracted with ultrasonic assisted extraction (UAE) technology, as well as alcohol and hot water. With this innovative extraction method our aim is to maximise the bioavailability of the compounds of interest, such as triterpenes, found in reishi.

1
We love to include reishi in our evening routine! It adds that extra sprinkle of cosiness to a hot chocolate or a bedtime tea.
2
Reishi was mentioned in the Chinese herbal medicine book ‘Materia Medica’, written some 2000 years ago.
3
We grow an antler form of reishi. This form has more bioactive compounds than the conk form.
4
Bitterness is not necessarily a good determinant of how potent a product is. Some triterpenes are bitter and some have little taste.
5
Compounds of interest: Ganoderic acid, Ganodermic acid, β-(1,3)-(1,6)-D-glucans.
